it's hard to ever really know
who to trust, how to think, what to believe

friendship doesn't have the same meaning for selene as it does for the average person. independence is very important to her and friends of hers, for the most part, are more people that she uses rather than appreciates. she will also tear friendships apart if she believes anyone is getting too close to her. because of this, her friendships with others quickly go in and out of style and she will have destroyed many friendships in her time. at first glance, her friends appear to be quite similar to herself, as she likes to stick with those that she shares some sort of common bond with. in reality though, most of her friends and her are fairly different from each other. she is also quite experimental and adventurous and needs to be with those who won't mind taking part in some of her shenanigans. there are not that many with whom she is very close too and she won't typically waste her time creating friendships with everyone, unless she can see something in it for herself.

selene will have many people that she won't talk to or get along with just because of the fact that she is a slytherin, and has the personality and beliefs that go along with it. she can easily tell when someone is lying to her and is not afraid to call them out on it. she's prone to holding grudges and will always remember anything and everything someone has ever done to her. since she regularly ruins friendships, she will have a selection of enemies with people that she was once friends with. manipulation is pastime of hers and the truth of the matter is, not that many people enjoy being manipulated. selene also enjoys the very interesting art of arguing, though she would rather not admit it. there will also be people who, rather than hate her, just think she is odd because of some of the peculiar interests and tendencies that she possesses.

love is a finicky think. selene has the tendency to fall in love with those who are completely wrong for her and will do nothing more than cause her pain. but then again, that is what she is attracted to most. though she never wishes to get attached to anything, she sometimes can be thrown over the edge and get so attached to something that she loses a bit of herself in the process. on the other end of the spectrum, she often engages in relationships where she doesn't care about anything at all because all she wants is the physical things that go along with it. finally, blood and houses are, of course, a factor in her relationships. she mostly wishes to be with a slytherin pure-blood just because that is the type of personality that she is attracted to. at the same time though, she will just screw around with anyone that she deems appropriate.

as for any other type of relations, i'm open for any ideas. selene doesn't take authority very well and rejects anyone that tries to figure her out or tell her what to do. she often finds herself drifting farther and farther away from the things she once knew. she doesn't really tell many people anything and likes it that way. her main goal is to be the best that she herself can be whilst, unintentionally, throwing things away once piece at a time.
