B A B Y I F Y O U S T R I P, Y O U C A N G E T A T I P ' c a u s e i l i k e y o u j u s t t h e w a y y o u a r e . ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Narcissa shared a coy smile with her friends as they headed back to the common room after a Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson. She didn't see any reason why they should even bother with DADA... if anything they should be embracing the Dark Arts, not learning to defend against them.. not that that was such an easy feat - in Narcissa's belief. They were far more powerful than people believed, and those who thought they could defend from Dark Arts were simply naive and deserved to learn the hard way.
She spoke the password and ducked inside first of her friends - of course she was entitled to head in first, was she not the higher class than the others, whether they all happened to be purebloods or not. It was almost lunch, and so with no more lessons Narcissa moved straight through the emerald glow of the Slytherin Common room and up the staircase to the girls domitary, her friends peeling off from behind her to say hello to others or take seats, but Cissy ignored them. Friends or not, she always had her own agenda, and she was going to do what she wanted, when she wanted.
Perhaps that was arrogant but Narcissa wasn't.. wait no, she was rather arrogant. She held herself in higher respect than everyone around her - there were only a few she would consider equal, other than that, she didn't believe others had a touch on her. People could think what they liked about her.. but she had enough status to be able to think and act such a way without being trodden upon - like some of the other slytherins who tried to act as though they owned the place, when they most certainly had no influcence on the student body what so ever.. and they were just as bad as the blood traitors.
Narcissa pushed open her dorm room and paused only for a few moments to place her bag lightly on her bed rather than throw it - she wasn't in any hurry..Cissy was never in a hurry. Time waited for her.. in her own mind...and she was never late - everyone else was simply early. She ignored one of the other Slytherin girls in her dorm, not even sure she'd spoken to the girl before, and then heading straight back out. She couldn't honestly be bothered to change for lunch, she still had potions later in the afternoon, and she'd only have to change back..
The common room was almost empty already, and Narcissa raised an eyebrow - how long had she been in her room - before descending the last few steps and heading straight toward the leather sofa's she normally claimed. She gathered most of her fellow students had already headed to the Great Hall for lunch. Cissy wasn't all that hungry in honesty, and so she thought that perhaps she might stay within the common room for now, or reside here during the entirety of the lunch break.. she hadn't decided which, she guessed it depended upon who might happen to come along and catch her attention whilst she relaxed into the soft leather of the sofa...if anyone did at all.

. Defence Against the Dark Arts. What a rather dreadful class. So much so that Lucius had made it a point to sleep through this morning. Perhaps it was the fact that the previous night he was up scurrying the corridors, keeping watch over the troublemakers who wanted to go out roaming after hours, as his Prefect duties had forced him to do. Maybe it was as simple as he was a Seventh Year who found it his God-given right not to attend a class every once in a while. More than likely, however, he had just decided that attending a class in defending just what he was looking to carry out was a bit counterproductive. His father had told him it was always nice to know what the other side has working in their favour, but this particular day, when his alarm had sounded, Lucius just could not pull himself from the comfort of his bed. The other boys had been in a hurry to pull on their robes and rush out of the dormitory, but he just couldn't find the strength or the motivation.
He had slept in very well. By the time he had woken up, the first class of the day had just ended, which he assumed was absolute fate speaking to him and telling him that Defence Against the Dark Arts wasn't worth his time. He stretched in his bed and enjoyed the complete quietness of the Dungeons, not regretting his decision to sleep in in the least. In fact, it brought a smile to his face. It was still so early in the year, and he had already played hooky. Rolling over in his bed, he had stared at the fancy little clock sitting beside his bed. The second hand ticked over and over as he watched it, his eyes becoming heavy once again. Just as he was about to fall asleep again, he shook himself and sat upright, yawning and pulling off another long stretch to wake him a little.
After he got out of bed and hesitantly pulled his robes on, he walked over to the mirror to check his appearance. His hair had become a little too long now. His parents would be disappointed in him for letting himself go this much, but with the hint of a five o'clock shadow and a little shaggy blonde mess, he thought he looked rugged. Ruggedness was sexy, right? He smirked as he ran his fingers through his hair, combing it out so it wasn't tangled or bumpy. He proceeded to making it messy again. That was what James Potter did, after all, and he was probably one of the most popular boys, if not the most popular boy in the school. The thought made Lucius sick - Low standards, he thought as he fixed his hair back to sleek and as professional as this style could get.
He walked down the short steps toward the Slytherin Common Room, retrieving his golden pocket-watch and spinning it round, over and over around his pointer finger. A few girls had made it back from their classes, none of whom he recognised as anything more than Narcissa Black's little posse. They were talking and giggling in a corner, but their infamous leader was no where to be found. She had to be somewhere near, but it wasn't right in their bubble. He considered asking them, but decided that a bunch of bumbling and obnoxious girls wasn't exactly what he had in mind as the first conversation he wanted to have. Upon making this decision, he quickly hid in the shadows of the back of the room. That was the good thing about having a Common Room in the Dungeons - there were always places to hide, no matter the time of day.
Once the girls were gone, Narcissa made her grand appearance back into the scene. He wondered how upset she was going to be when she saw that her followers weren't there waiting for her. She loved being Queen Bee, and he didn't think that she could stand not having adoring fans waiting at her every call - she was his type of woman. Unfortunately, though, Lucius wasn't interested in settling down, and she wasn't one he was willing to walk over for a quick fling. She was something he was ready to wait for, let blossom, and see where things lead in the future. For now, he would stay in the back of her mind and see how far that took him in her favourites list.
He watched her sit on the couch, sinking into the black leather and appearing to either be deep in thought or having a mind void of anything - which it was, exactly, Lucius couldn't tell. He stepped out of the shadows, knowing his well-polished dress shoes would make a good amount of noise on the stone floor. He took each step carefully, just as he made each movement swift and deliberate. The Malfoys were all about appearances, and Lucius had made it a point to always be smooth, especially around the other respectable Purebloods. His eyes remained on the back of her head until he was right on top of her. Once he had reached her, he gently covered her eyes with his right hand and moved the hair away from her left ear. "Guess who," he whispered into her ear, calm and steady. Just by the way he said the words, it was obvious his words were accompanied by a smirk. [/blockquote][/font]

B A B Y I F Y O U S T R I P, Y O U C A N G E T A T I P ' c a u s e i l i k e y o u j u s t t h e w a y y o u a r e . ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Oh she honestly should have gone to lunch, sitting alone within the Slytherin common room held no amusement for her. She would rather be in the Great Hall making a spectacular entrance and drawing everyone's attention that sitting in silence and solitude upon a black leather sofa - whether it was her favoured place to sit or not, she still disliked being here. It wasn't 'loneliness' ... whatever that could be classed as. No, she was perfectly happy to take time out from the baboons that called themselves her friends, when really they were merely followers. Girls who weren't up to being a Queen Bee and yet didn't want to fall into the social pit with everyone else by not being Queen. So they tried for the next best thing; getting into Narcissa's good books, someone classed as one as the higher ranking girls in the school, and someone you had to be associated with if you wanted anything in this world.
Narcissa didn't allow anyone to hang out with her, that much was obvious even to the blinded person - even to a squib. Squibs were lower than muggles, or so Narcissa believed. But yes, she had high standards for people who tried to tag along in her 'gang'. Anyone without the purest of blood was tossed aside like a rag doll... which was strange perhaps, considering her standards in men were a little different. She would allow them to flirt with her so long as they were good enough looking and not muggleborn - though half bloods were an iffy state... they had to be incredibly good looking and definetly no Gryffindor for her to even consider letting them flirt with her, or her flirt back. But her lowered standards for flings - yes flings, Cissy wasn't the relationship kind right now - were only due to the fact that she played with her men and then pushed them to the side, like it didn't matter. The only one who ever got hurt, was them.
Whittling the time away she'd allowed herself to get caught in her off topic thoughts. So involved in these said thoughts she didn't catch the sound of a familiar set of shoes creeping toward her from behind. She hadn't even thought to listen out for someone; believing everyone to be filling their guts with food. Normally she was rather alert, not because she had much reason to be - nobody dare try and prank Narcissa - they'd end up with half their limbs. No, she was just someone who knew it paid to remain alert, despite the fact she was relaxed at the same time. It took a lot to really get to Narcissa, but boy when she was angry you'd better run like hell.
Needless to say, so absorbed was she that she didn't even really he was there until she felt his presence right behind her, a second before a warm large hand covered her eyes. She smirked slightly, unable to stop herself from giving a light shiver as his fingers moved aside her hair and his hot breath was upon her left ear. "Guess who," She could hear the smirk within his own words, and she felt no reservations for the fact that he'd covered her eyes; something she usually wouldn't apprechiate from anyone, teasing or not. "hmm i don't know.." she spoke softly, her smirk widening a little, "severus snape?" she teased, wanting to get him back for sneaking up on her, knowing her wouldn't enjoy having himself likened to that fool, but nonetheless, fun for her.
Odd though, that despite their flirtatious remarks toward each other, Narcissa had never really made a pass at him, nor he her. Of course she knew deep down that there was reasoning behind it. Some day she would need to stop messing around and settle, and if she messed with all the decent stock out there then who would there be left? She hadn't touched Lucius - yes she knew exactly who it was - and she didn't expect to until they were both more.. committed in life to relationships and their ultimate goals. She knew that he felt similiary at least, but not to what extent. Still, she at least, planned on saving him for a little while, she just needed to make sure none of the other girls had a like-minded idea. She rather thought Lucius was the best pick of the bunch for a future.
