Alyssa changes between blonde, red and black hair. On a normal day to day basis, Ali has blonde shoulder length hair. On the days where she's more playful, her hair changes red, and shortens to a pinup style apearance. On the rare occasions of intolerable moods, Lyssa's hair will go black as a warning of avoidance.

Currently, I'm sick, so I'm not going to argue ... although by this point in time, the whole application thing I think is going to kill me....

Sitting at her old white wooden dresser, the very same one her Grandmother use to brush her hair at when she was a little girl, Alyssa studied the features of her face in the mirror. It was rare for a metamorphmagus to know exactly what they looked like, but Ali did. Her nose was small and button like, her lips thin, but her eyes prominante. Those very features were evident in her parents, grandparents and siblings, whose pictures were stuck around the edge of her mirror. That was something her mother had always inforced in her growning up, that while she may be able to change her appearance - it was wrong to do so, and she should take pride in coming from the family that she does.

Alyssa could remember the first time she changed her physical appearance. She was five and wanted blue hair just like her dolly - oh how her mother scolded her. Lyssa could still feel the burn of her mothers hand on her backside if she closed her eyes. That was the day she learnt that change happened in secret - or away at Hogwarts where her mother couldn't see, and where her siblings didn't care. Hogwarts was where her natural blonde locks would switch for red curls when she felt in a more playful mood, or when both would be exchanged for dark black bangs when her mood was as sour as a Slytherin. Ali liked to feel that she was doing the school a favour when she changed her hair like that - warning them with colours, much like nature does when something is harmful.
