- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - JAMES POTTER | SEVENTEEN | SEVENTH YEAR | PURE BLOOD | LION DETERMINED | COCKY | FUN-LOVING | MISCHEVIOUS | LOYAL FRIENDS;Let's not play dumb. We all know how James is. He's a little cocky, so I can't see a lot of good kids getting along very well with him. Although, now that he's Head Boy, there's a possibility that he might get a few more hunting him down for friendship in hopes of gaining special privileges. Also, Slytherins really ought not apply here. He's a bit biased on the lot of you, so trying to start up a friendship would be hard. However, I'm always up for the challenge if you are, so if you think your Slytherin might fit very well with James' personality, prepare for one hell of a ride. The fight may be long, but you have a slim chance of making it all the way. Good luck! [/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ENEMIES; James will most likely have quite a few of these. It will mainly be due to his ego, but I'm sure there will be other reasons for people to hate him. Perhaps unfair deduction of points by the Head Boy, or just being a hot headed Slytherin? There are many reasons to hate poor James, but the more the better. Haters beware, because he's fairly skilled in the hexing department, and his buddy Sirius will certainly give him a little help. [/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ROMANCE; This one is a bit tricky, to be honest. James is head over heels for Lily Evans, and that definitely isn't changing. However, I'm open to having some side plots during his chase. Nothing serious, obviously, because his ultimate goal has to remain Lily. As I said, I'm willing to work with the girls here, since I know he's one attractive man with a lot of talent, and you're all aching to get a piece. Just set the stage. After all, he may have goo-goo eyes for Lily, but he is also still a member of the male species, and as I see most of you (if not all, presently) are female, you understand what that means. Not to mention, Sirius will surely be egging him on very often to forget about Lily. [/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - OTHER; All others may be submitted as well. Not quite sure what this category could entail, but it's here for any of you. James and I are always up for a challenge, and we embrace big messes that are to be made, cleaned up, etc. PM with major plot points. Anything and everything will be considered. [/blockquote]

Alice&James Quidditch buddies! Especially since they're the only two on the team as of right now. Alice values his sense of humor but thinks he can be a bit of an ass at times. I think over all they'd have a fairly civil relationships. She's really good friends with Sirius, so that would probably mean being buddies with James as well (unless you have any other ideas?). She's also really best friends with Lily so, she could quite possibly act as a mediator between them or bring messages back and forth. Thoughts?

JAMES&ALICE I think all of that would be a good idea. James needs a girl he can share his feelings with knowing he won't be made fun of for them. You know, someone who knows him on a deeper level than the person most people see. I'm sure that it's tearing James apart to watch Lily date other boys (regardless of how few there really are), and he could use an outlet. The fact that Alice is on the Quidditch team with him would give him reason to trust her and possibly even confide in her.
I would like to leave the possibility for their friendship to expand into something deeper than just people who talk to each other and play the same sport. Would that be something you were interested in?

Alice&James Actually I really like that idea. Alice would die (or end up as a vegetable in a hospital) before she betrays a friend's trust, so she'd definitely be the kind of person worth confiding emotions in. I also think it would be loads of fun to write her conflict of being caught in the middle of two very close friends. She teases Lily about James on a regular basis, but for the most part she'll want to stay out of his pursuits of her, but she'll definitely listen and feel conflicted as to whether or not to share these things with Lily, seeing as it would probably make things less awkward for everyone if all the sexual tension between the two was released. I think this sounds awesome

JAMES&ALICE Yes, and maybe at times Alice could lighten up the situation for him. He's going to take his affections for a little too seriously, so it would be good to have a mutual friend keep him grounded. Join my post, which is linked right here.

Alice&James
Alice is definitely good at lightening up situations. She might even suggest that he comes on a little to *gasp* strongly? I'm in the middle of a reply to it right now ^_^ It

JAMES&ALICE Excitement. You know what would be really neat? Hm, maybe I'll suggest that for the Mary Macdonald character, just to be sure he has one girl he can talk with.

Gilderoy&&James Hmmm this one could be pretty fun to play out if we want to do it. Gilderoy's main goal is to be popular, famous, and everything that goes with it. I think he sees alot of himself (at least in his mind anyway) in James. Perhaps he looks up to James as he's basically the definition of the cool kid on campus. Maybe Gilderoy always tries to sneak in with the Marauders and get invited to parties they do just so he can have the title of hanging around them. I can see him just driving James right mad with it though and Gilderoy is totally oblivious to it. Basically James is Gilderoy's hero and he tries to act just like him but fails miserably. Any ideas or thoughts?

JAMES&GILDEROY I had never considered that sort of relationship, but it makes very good sense. I can see James and Gilderoy bumping heads quite a lot, as they both have the same pompous attitude. And it would make sense that James would be a sort of role model for Gilderoy to look up to. It also helps that James is two years older than him, so it makes it that much more reasonable. You're an absolute genius, in case you didn't know.

Gilderoy&&James Why thank you...I get that alot JK JK! I kind of like to think of the younger Gilderoy as the cheap almost failed version of James Potter anyway so it seems to fit that he would want to be just like him. Plus, James is like the most popular guy around school in most people's oppinions so Gilderoy wants to be all over that for sure. The butting heads thing will be hilarious and a definate must in any thread I think. Gilderoy is going to be totally oblivious and be like "oh yeah James and I are like best friends we have this inside joke where we pretend we hate each other." Technically James is only one year older than Gilderoy as he turns sixteen in december. He's an old fifth year because of his late bday buttttt yesss it works!!!

James & Marlene Marly is probably the most adventurous/brave Ravenclaw. mostly because she also got Gryffindor traits from her father. She is also very competitive. I could see them constantly competing at everything. She is also on the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team (if she gets accepted) so maybe they have a friendly rivalry in that and occasionally may practice together? But of course Marly will be very confused as to why James is head boy but she knows better than to state it so she would try and stay on his good side for that reason xD. Add/subtract/modify?

JAMES&MARLENE Yes, I can see a lot of competition going on, and a little rivalry never hurt anyone - well, that's probably not quite true, but still. As a suggestion, though, just because, well James currently has very few love interests and I do want to see him date around a little, might I also suggest a romance erupting between the two? I could see it coming out of their rivalry, and even if it were short-lived, it would be interesting to carry out. They may be very good for each other, really.
Thoughts?

Marlene & James I could see that. Marlene had never had a boyfriend which she is quite embarassed about so she would be very flattered and such. She also has a small crush on Remus so that could cause some possible drama if James found out. But other than that it would be quite interesting. Marlene would be unsure about it at first because of how he has feelings for Lily but she will come around. Shall we thread them?
